I did it. I finished Angels & Demons. I dont think i can remember the last time I acually finished reading a book. so how did I reward myself? by buying The Da Vinci Code..

I pretty much had the worst 3-day weekend.
It started off with me getting food poisoned on Saturday. I was fine the whole day, albeit a bit sick and exhausted from the week, but nothing too drastic. I ate some canned chunky soup clam chowder... then bam, as i was ABOUT to go get some hawaiian grub.... I completely got sick.
My health went from being ok to rolling on my bed in pain. I started getting cold shivers, my brain hurt and my stomach, sure enough, was not that great either. I began to go to the bathroom every so often, I will leave out the details as I'm sure you can fill them in. I resorted to just forcing myself to sleep through the worst. I had the most crappiest dreams, my brain was on overload trying to figure out permutations of the possible ways i could arrange a workflow diagram from work, along with permutations on how i can arrange my fantasy baseball team. needless to say, I woke up very tired. and needless to say, Sunday was a day I became very fond of my bathroom.
I finally got somewhat well mid-day Monday... whoop-ee-doo.. my last day when I cant do anything and am about to go back to work...
so any plan i had this weekend of either relaxing, going out with friends, eating some good food, getting chores done went litteraly... "down the toilet" so to speak.
I really do blame my co-workers for this new "phase" in my life. or "trend", or "in" thing... whatever you want to call it.
Everyone here that I know either owns or has owned a motorbike. Two of the guys here own some nice speedster bikes. Another owns a harley. And what has happened you ask? they are starting to rub off on me, making ME think about getting one. Everywhere I look, I notice bikes now.. its like a new obsession... seriously, wth.
So, now, I'm thinking of taking a bike class, to see if i'd like it. at the end of the class, i'd get a certificate that would bypass me having to take a driving test at the DMV. I would, however, have to take the written test. aside from that, there's other things i'd have to consider... bike insurance, bike gear/helmet, and knowing where the hell i'd keep a bike. my current pad does not have closed car ports, so i'd be too afraid to keep my bike outdoors, if i were to get one. someone could just come and steal it.
So what kind of bike would i get? i dont know, i'm torn between a sporty style bike or a cruiser style bike. japanese vs american. I wouldnt get a full blown harley, like the "biker guys" ride.

so yeah, as you grow up, your hobbies get more and more expensive. Not to mention dangerous.

I've been reading this damn book for the past freaken year and a half. Why? well, here was my plan: I was going to read Angels & Demons first, I always heard it was a pretty good story. I had read that teh DaVinci Code was a great book to, but that this was like a prequel. I had also read that they were going to make a movie about it. sooooo, my plan was to read the books first.
unfortunately, i didnt factor one thing into my equation: my lazyness. I've read it on and off for the past year. when i read it, i was into it, but then i'd stop because i'd go off and do something else. Some WoW, some TV shows, some soccer, some work, some going out. that has greatly stopped me from reading the damn book, and i put my foot down yesterday and picked it up again...... leading to another problem.... i started to read where I left off and realized i didn't know WTF was going on. I had forgotten what had previously happened, I had forgotten who was who. so i had to reread the previous chapter... well, i didnt know what happened there either, so i reread the previous previous chapter.. and so on... i backtracked a few chapters, skimming and reading fast. I eventually remembered the order of events and who was who and what happened. so NOW im all back to where i started...
i am gonna finish this book dammit...
I have come to the conclusion that I just hate shady people.
I think that I tend to trust people more than I should, that I'm just too nice to people. More often than not, they wind up not returning the generosity. Maybe I'm just asking too much from people I dont know too much about. I've been nice to several people that I've either worked with in the past, played online games with, or played soccer with.
whatever... people suck.
It's just amazing how people are so inconsiderate once they know that being anonymous is involved.
Lately, our WoW group has kinda exploded, and "drama" broke out all over our group's boards. What happened was that our leader quits, then our past leader quits, and a few of his friends go along with him. this lead to more people quitting, and running to join other guilds. some get frustrated and begin to talk shit. some take charge and begin to want to regroup... things go well for a day or so, then bam, more people quit, especially those that were claiming to be all into rebuilding.
all in all, people panic and want instant gratification, therefore are not willing to regroup and start over. or even backtrack. they got used to getting good items quickly and easily. and from what i see, dont want to bother starting over.
then, this leads to some people calling other peopel out, saying they are asses and what-not... bam, they quit... so another group quits...
fucken nerds... nerd drama... all over a fucken game and the Internet...
I got a little inspired to just change my page a bit. how long will this last? i have no idea.
So what do i have planned? not much, probably start the blog thing again, and offload some stuff services to other providers such as photos. free up some space so that i wont have to worry about it. i just want to keep it a bit simple, that's all.
