Ekolu is one of my absolute favorite bands... with that said, I was browsing one day, wondering if they had a new album... so i go to their webiste, www.ekolulive.com, and see a new album.
so today, i went to Tower Records and they had ONE album left. so i quickly grabbed it.. then went to my car, popped it in the cd player, and just cruised down the street... my week has pretty much been made. :) and it's the album imma be blasting for the next few days/weeks...
on a side not, as i was flipping through the albums they had in the "hawaii" section.. i ran into a new album (2005) by Fiji... i immediately said, "awwwweee shiiiiiittttt"... and bought it too. haha.
so i got new music, and that is good.
yay!

too bad my former company owns the patent. Still, i get "nerd" recognition. hooray for me!
I spent this weekend rafting up in the Sacramento rivers. all im gonna say is..
IT WAS AWESOME...

yep.. it's over... this whole month, I have been glued to my TV set in the early morning hours, witnessing this awesome event that happens once every 4 years. Followed my teams till the end, rooted for underdogs, and cheered on the great players of our times.
Needless to say, the final came down to Italy vs France. and very well played it was. it literaly came down the wire, the game being decided in penalty shots. both teams edured a great game, and in the end, the team who held it together the most won. even though i didnt root for Italy, they win was well deserved. I really wanted France to win, and i wanted to see Zinedine Zidane end his carreer on top, since he declared this was his last game. I was deeply dissapointed. He headbutted a player on purpose, causing himself to be ejected from the game. very badly played Zidane, i expected bettersportsmanship from you, being such a great and talented player. but i guess this shows that he's human, and able to make mistakes... the frustration of not overpassing the 1-1 tie, led him to lose his head. What a way to exit your soccer carreer.
anyway, with all that said, the Italians won. They declared argentinas goal against mexico (causing us to get knocked out) the best goal in the world cup, a very well deserved recognition.
so now, the cup is over. time to go to work and have regular lunches. no more soccer talk or meeting up with friends at bars to watch the international stars. i honestly can say i will be sad for the next few weeks. :(
... but it was worth it. i am happy with this tournament and those that participated. :)
