It was pretty damn fun, I'll have to admit.

We hung out with Jordan on Friday night, since they flew in to San Jose. Then, on the next day, we drove up to SF and just walked around a bit, had lunch at a philly steakhouse, and then headed over to my friend's potluck party on Saturday night. We had drinks and played games. Then headed back, and Nelson and I walked around the Mission streets for a bit.

good times.

I had this fake plant looking thing in the corner, where he would hide, but it became old and crusty so i threw it out. I went ahead and bought a new one, a little different, but still plant-like. Now he has a place to hide and sleep in, should make him happier.

I also bought a little cave looking thing. It's big enough for him to go in it. I have a pot in there, and he likes it... so maybe he'll like this one... and he can swim through it and what not.

Hopefully that'll give me more energy because i've been lacking that lately.

There's always a feeling of a "new beginning" whenever the new year comes along. People make resolutions and promises for the upcoming year.

me? well, I think that I've learned quite a bit from this past year. I am going to take life as it comes. And not set my hopes up too much. However, if i do.. then I have accepted that things won't come out as planned... and that's ok with me. I've learned to take what life gives me and just accept it. Learning to put myself in situations where life can take me somewhere. And i've also allowed myself to just be human when times feel bad. all in all, I'm learning to deal with stuff in my own way, and learning that what works for me works for me.

I hope to be less stressed, and to enjoy life a bit more. If times are chill, then I will be chill. I times are sad, then I will be sad.

Just take a day at a time, and add some optimism to the mix.

yeah.

1) eat a bit more healthy, and smaller portions.
2) during lunch at work, eat a salad
3) run 2x a week for 30 mins
4) do some lifting if possible, shooting for 2x a week
5) maybe bike on the weekend, or do lower body weightlifting, or running

that's basically it. I'm not gonna go all super hardcore with my running and weightlifting. I figure if i can cut my food intake and start using up more energy, i'm bound to lose weight at some kind of a rate. Hopefully i can get back into playing soccer soon, then i can cut out a "running" day.

lets see how long i last.. it's day 3 on the salad diet and i'm already feeling it.

I am going to wear regular casual clothes, some pirate stuff like an eyepatch or bandana, and a ninja sword, and will probably be all in black. It kinda is last minute, but you need to have something if you plan on going to a halloween party.

anyway, i'll have pics up when i get them.

Since I don't know the city very well, why not take my weekends and just drive around. I mainly just drove around, and looked at the buildings and neighborhood make up, asking every so often, "are we going south now?".. "where are we?" ... "what's this area called?"

The only thing I'm looking into now is whether I can afford a place up there. I'm sure i can rent, but not sure if I want to do that IF i can afford a place and IF it's reasonable for me to do so. One thing i DO know is that i'm freaken bored down here in San Jose. And since my original goal was to live in the city, why not do it now? I'm not getting any younger and I dont have any big commitments.

plus, I like the city. :)
